These Terms of Service explain the rules that apply when you use Nawa Match, including our website, events, profile matching service, profile review service, courses, Nikkah-related services, counselling/mediation support, divorce advice and any other service we provide.
By using our website, creating an account, submitting a profile, applying for an event, attending an event, making a payment, or using any Nawa Match service, you agree to these Terms.
Please read these Terms carefully before using our services.
1. Who we are
For the purposes of these Terms, references to Nawa Match, we, us and our mean Nawa Match.
Nawa Match provides Muslim marriage-focused services, including events, personalised profile matching, profile review support, pre-marital courses, Nikkah-related services, counselling/mediation support, divorce advice and related services.

2. Our services
Nawa Match may provide some or all of the following services:
- Muslim marriage events;
- application-based event attendance;
- personalised profile matching;
- marriage profile creation and review;
- redacted profile sharing with potential suitable matches;
- second meeting facilitation;
- guardian, wali, chaperone or family introduction support where relevant;
- pre-marital courses;
- Nikkah-related services;
- counselling, mediation or family support services;
- divorce advice or guidance services;
- educational content, workshops and community events;
- related online or offline services.
We may add, remove, change or pause services from time to time.
3. Eligibility
Our services are intended for Muslims aged 18 and over who are genuinely seeking marriage.
By using Nawa Match, you confirm that:
- you are at least 18 years old;
- you are genuinely seeking marriage;
- the information you provide is truthful, accurate and not misleading;
- you are using our services for yourself and not pretending to be someone else;
- you will not create a profile for another person without their clear permission;
- you are legally able to use our services;
- you have not previously been banned or removed from Nawa Match unless we have given you written permission to return;
- you will follow these Terms, our Privacy Policy, event rules and any service-specific rules.
We may refuse, suspend or remove access to our services if we believe you do not meet our eligibility requirements or if your use of the service creates a risk to others, to Nawa Match, or to the seriousness and integrity of the service.
4. Nature of Nawa Match
Nawa Match is a marriage introduction and facilitation service.
We help people meet, review potential matches and take appropriate next steps in a halal, marriage-focused environment.
We do not guarantee:
- that you will receive a match;
- that you will be introduced to anyone;
- that a suggested match will be suitable;
- that a match will respond positively;
- that an introduction will lead to a meeting;
- that a meeting will lead to marriage;
- that any marriage will be successful;
- that all information provided by users is complete, accurate or up to date.
Marriage decisions are serious personal and family decisions. You are responsible for making your own checks, asking appropriate questions, involving family or guardians where appropriate, and deciding whether to proceed with any person you meet through Nawa Match.
5. Not a casual dating service
Nawa Match is intended for serious marriage-focused introductions.
You must not use Nawa Match for:
- casual dating;
- inappropriate relationships;
- harassment;
- entertainment;
- collecting personal information;
- promoting unrelated services;
- misleading people;
- wasting time;
- any purpose that goes against the halal, marriage-focused nature of the service.
We may remove anyone who we believe is not using the service sincerely or appropriately.
6. Account and profile responsibilities
If you create an account or profile, you are responsible for keeping your information accurate and up to date.
You agree that you will:
- provide honest and accurate information;
- update your profile if your circumstances change;
- keep your login details secure;
- not allow another person to use your account;
- not create multiple accounts without our permission;
- not impersonate another person;
- not submit false, misleading, offensive or inappropriate information;
- not hide important information that would reasonably matter in a marriage-focused process.
This may include information about your age, marital status, children, location, religious practice, intentions, eligibility and other relevant circumstances.
We may edit, hide, suspend or remove profiles that appear incomplete, misleading, inappropriate, duplicated, unsafe or inconsistent with the purpose of Nawa Match.
7. Identity, age and eligibility verification
We may require identity, age or eligibility verification before allowing someone to attend an event, use profile matching, receive introductions, or proceed with a service.
This may include checking official ID or other evidence.
Verification is used to support safety, seriousness and eligibility. However, verification does not mean that we guarantee a person's character, intentions, background, compatibility, financial position, religious level, family situation or suitability for marriage.
You remain responsible for making your own enquiries before proceeding with any introduction or meeting.
If you refuse to complete verification, provide false documents, provide misleading information, or fail verification checks, we may refuse access, cancel attendance, suspend your account, remove your profile or end the service.
8. Profile matching
Nawa Match may use the information you provide to identify potentially suitable marriage matches.
Matching may consider factors such as:
- age range;
- location;
- religious preferences;
- family involvement preferences;
- marital status preferences;
- education or career preferences;
- lifestyle preferences;
- deal breakers;
- personal compatibility;
- event attendance;
- user-stated preferences;
- admin observations;
- human review.
We may use automated tools to help identify potentially compatible profiles, but all suggested matches are reviewed by a member of our team before any profile is shared.
We do not make solely automated decisions that determine whether someone can marry, proceed with a match, or be introduced to another person.
Automated tools may support our admin process, but final matching decisions and profile-sharing decisions are human-reviewed.
9. Redacted profile sharing
Where appropriate, and where the relevant consent has been given, we may share a redacted version of your marriage profile with a potential suitable match or their representative.
A redacted profile may include information such as:
- first name or profile reference;
- age;
- city or general location;
- ethnicity or cultural background;
- education;
- occupation;
- religious practice and preferences;
- marital background;
- whether you have children;
- height;
- hobbies and interests;
- about me information;
- spouse preferences;
- deal breakers;
- other relevant non-contact profile information.
We do not share your full contact details, raw ID documents, payment details, private admin notes or internal verification records with potential matches unless you have consented or there is another lawful and necessary reason to do so.
Once information has been shared with another person, we cannot guarantee that they will delete it, keep it confidential or use it appropriately, although they are required to follow these Terms.
10. Mutual interest and next steps
A match or introduction may only progress where both sides show appropriate interest and where Nawa Match is satisfied that the next step is suitable within the service.
Depending on the service, next steps may include:
- further profile exchange;
- guardian, wali or family involvement;
- second meeting facilitation;
- event-based follow-up;
- contact detail exchange;
- supervised or facilitated discussion;
- referral to a pre-marital course or support service.
We reserve the right not to progress a match where we believe it is unsuitable, unsafe, unserious, against our rules, or inconsistent with the purpose of Nawa Match.
11. Events
Nawa Match events are application-based unless stated otherwise.
Applying for an event does not guarantee acceptance. Paying for an event does not guarantee entry if you fail to meet the requirements, fail verification, breach our rules, arrive too late, or behave inappropriately.
For events, you agree that:
- you will provide accurate application information;
- you will bring valid ID if requested;
- you will arrive on time;
- you will follow all venue rules and event instructions;
- you will behave respectfully towards attendees, chaperones, staff, volunteers and venue representatives;
- you will not take unauthorised photos, videos or audio recordings;
- you will not share attendee information without permission;
- you will not pressure anyone for contact details;
- you will not behave in a way that is inappropriate, intimidating, aggressive, flirtatious in an unsuitable way, harassing, discriminatory or unserious;
- you will follow any chaperone, guardian, seating, rotation or matching rules that apply to the event.
We may refuse entry, remove you from an event, cancel your ticket or ban you from future events if you breach these Terms, event rules or venue rules.
If you are removed from an event because of misconduct, rule breach, false information, failed verification or inappropriate behaviour, you may not be entitled to a refund.
12. Chaperones, guardians and family representatives
Some Nawa Match services or events may require, allow or encourage the involvement of a chaperone, guardian, wali or family representative.
Where this applies:
- you must provide accurate details;
- the chaperone, guardian, wali or representative must comply with our rules;
- they must behave respectfully and appropriately;
- they must not disrupt the event or matching process;
- they must not pressure, harass or intimidate any attendee or family;
- they may be required to provide ID at events.
We may refuse or remove a chaperone, guardian, wali or representative if we believe their behaviour is inappropriate, unsafe or disruptive.
13. Conduct standards
You must use Nawa Match respectfully, honestly and in keeping with the halal, marriage-focused nature of the service.
You must not:
- lie or mislead others;
- misrepresent your age, marital status, children, background, intentions or eligibility;
- harass, pressure, abuse, threaten or intimidate anyone;
- send inappropriate, sexual, offensive or disrespectful messages;
- use the service for casual dating or unserious behaviour;
- discriminate unlawfully or degrade others;
- share private profiles, screenshots, messages or personal information without permission;
- record events, calls or meetings without permission;
- scrape, copy or build a database from Nawa Match profiles;
- use the service to promote unrelated businesses, products, fundraising, political activity or religious disputes;
- attempt to bypass Nawa Match processes or fees;
- damage the reputation, safety or integrity of the service;
- break the law.
We may suspend or remove anyone who breaches these standards.
14. Confidentiality
Marriage profiles, event attendee information, match suggestions, private communications and internal Nawa Match processes must be treated confidentially.
You must not share, publish, post, forward, screenshot, record or distribute another person's profile, contact details, messages, photos or personal information without clear permission.
This applies whether information is received through:
- the website;
- email;
- WhatsApp;
- events;
- profile matching;
- PDFs;
- screenshots;
- calls;
- meetings;
- any other communication method.
Breaching confidentiality may result in removal from Nawa Match, cancellation of services, refusal of future access and, where appropriate, further action.
15. Safety
Nawa Match takes reasonable steps to support a serious and safer environment, including application review, verification checks, event rules, admin review and conduct standards.
However, we cannot guarantee the behaviour, intentions, background, truthfulness, compatibility or suitability of any user, attendee, match, chaperone, guardian, family member or third party.
You should take sensible precautions, including:
- involving family or a trusted person where appropriate;
- asking important questions before proceeding;
- meeting in appropriate settings;
- not sharing sensitive personal information too quickly;
- not sending money to someone you meet through Nawa Match;
- reporting concerns to us;
- contacting the police or emergency services if you feel unsafe.

16. Payments and fees
Fees for Nawa Match services are shown on the relevant pricing page, booking page, application page, invoice, payment link or written service description.
Fees may apply to:
- event tickets;
- profile review services;
- personalised profile matching;
- second meeting facilitation;
- pre-marital courses;
- Nikkah-related services;
- counselling, mediation or family support services;
- divorce advice or guidance services;
- premium or concierge services;
- other paid services.
Unless stated otherwise, payment must be made before the relevant service is provided.
We may change prices at any time, but changes will not affect services you have already paid for unless the service description or booking terms allow otherwise.
Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers such as Stripe. We do not normally store full card details.
You agree not to make false, abusive or dishonest chargebacks. If you have a payment issue, you should contact us first at info@nawamatch.co.uk.
17. Refunds and cancellations
Refunds and cancellations are governed by our separate Refund & Cancellation Policy, any service-specific terms, and your statutory rights.
Different services may have different cancellation rules. For example:
- event tickets may have different cancellation rules because event spaces, staffing and venue costs are arranged in advance;
- profile review services may become non-refundable once work has started or been completed, where the law allows;
- personalised matching fees may depend on the stage of the matching process;
- second meeting facilitation may depend on whether the meeting has already been arranged or delivered;
- courses, counselling, mediation, Nikkah-related services and divorce advice may have service-specific cancellation terms.
If Nawa Match cancels an event or service, we may offer a refund, transfer, rescheduled date or alternative service, depending on the circumstances and the applicable policy.
Nothing in these Terms removes your statutory rights.
18. Consumer cancellation rights
Some online or distance purchases of services may give consumers a legal cancellation period. Where this applies, details will be set out in the Refund & Cancellation Policy or booking terms.
If you ask us to begin providing a service during any applicable cancellation period, you agree that we may charge a reasonable amount for the service already provided if you later cancel.
If a service is fully performed within the cancellation period after you requested early performance, you may lose the right to cancel where the law allows.
Dated events, venue-based services and leisure activities may be treated differently from general online services.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be limited.
19. Service changes, postponement and cancellation
We may change, postpone, reschedule or cancel a service where reasonably necessary.
This may include changes to:
- event venue;
- event date;
- event time;
- event format;
- age range;
- attendance numbers;
- facilitator, speaker, imam, volunteer or staff member;
- event structure;
- service delivery method;
- online/offline format.
We will try to give reasonable notice of significant changes.
Where a change, postponement or cancellation affects your booking, your rights will be handled under these Terms, the Refund & Cancellation Policy, the booking terms and applicable law.
20. Courses, counselling, mediation, Nikkah and divorce-related services
Nawa Match may provide or arrange additional marriage-focused services, including pre-marital courses, counselling, mediation, Nikkah-related services and divorce advice.
Unless clearly stated otherwise:
- educational content is general guidance only;
- counselling or mediation support is not medical, psychiatric or emergency support;
- divorce advice is not legal advice unless provided by a qualified legal professional;
- Nikkah-related services do not automatically create a civil marriage recognised by UK law;
- you are responsible for seeking independent legal, religious, financial, medical or professional advice where needed.
If you require urgent safeguarding, mental health, legal or emergency support, you should contact the appropriate professional service or emergency authority.
21. User content and profile information
You are responsible for any information, photos, documents, preferences, profile answers or other content you submit to Nawa Match.
You confirm that:
- the information you provide is accurate and not misleading;
- you have the right to provide it;
- it does not breach another person's privacy;
- it is not offensive, unlawful, discriminatory, abusive or inappropriate;
- it does not contain malware, spam or harmful material.
You keep ownership of your own content, but you give Nawa Match permission to use it as needed to provide the services. This includes reviewing your profile, creating a redacted profile, suggesting matches, sharing your profile with potential suitable matches where consent has been given, managing events, providing support and communicating with you.
22. Privacy and data protection
Our use of personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy.
By using Nawa Match, you agree that we will process your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy.
Some of our services require special category data, including information about religion, ethnicity and marriage preferences. We will ask for explicit consent where required.
If you withdraw consent for us to process information that is necessary for a service, we may no longer be able to provide that service.
23. Website use
You must not misuse our website.
You must not:
- attempt to hack, damage or disrupt the website;
- introduce viruses, malware or harmful code;
- attempt to access restricted areas without permission;
- scrape, copy or extract data from the website;
- use bots, automated tools or scripts without permission;
- overload or interfere with the website;
- use the website for unlawful or harmful purposes.
We may suspend or block access where we believe there is misuse or a security risk.
24. Intellectual property
The Nawa Match name, branding, website content, event materials, course materials, templates, profile formats, written content, graphics, designs and service processes belong to Nawa Match or are licensed to us.
You must not copy, reproduce, adapt, distribute, sell, publish, scrape or commercially use our content without written permission.
You may use our website and materials only for your personal use in connection with Nawa Match services.
25. Third-party services
We may use third-party services to operate parts of Nawa Match. These may include payment processors, website hosts, email providers, form tools, database tools, analytics providers, venues and communication platforms.
Third-party services may have their own terms, privacy policies and technical requirements.
We are not responsible for third-party service failures, outages, terms, policies or actions where they are outside our reasonable control.
26. Availability of services
We aim to provide services with reasonable care and skill.
However, we do not guarantee that:
- the website will always be available;
- the website will be error-free;
- all features will be available at all times;
- matching will produce a particular result;
- events will always run exactly as planned;
- third-party services will always work.
We may suspend, update, maintain, restrict or withdraw parts of the website or service where necessary.
27. Suspension, removal and termination
We may suspend, restrict, remove or terminate your access to Nawa Match if we believe that:
- you breached these Terms;
- you provided false or misleading information;
- you failed verification;
- you behaved inappropriately;
- you created a safety concern;
- you misused profiles, screenshots or personal data;
- you harassed or pressured another person;
- you failed to make payment;
- you attempted to bypass our process or fees;
- your conduct damages the integrity of Nawa Match;
- we are required to do so by law or regulation.
Where appropriate, we may also refuse future applications, cancel event attendance, remove your profile, cancel introductions or block communication.
28. Our responsibility and limitations
We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Subject to the above, Nawa Match is not responsible for:
- whether you receive a match;
- whether a match progresses;
- whether any person marries;
- the success or failure of any relationship or marriage;
- the conduct, words, actions or omissions of users, attendees, chaperones, guardians, family members or third parties;
- inaccurate, incomplete or misleading information provided by users;
- meetings or communications arranged outside Nawa Match;
- loss caused by your failure to follow safety guidance;
- emotional distress caused by rejection, non-response or unsuccessful matches;
- indirect or consequential losses;
- loss of profit, business, opportunity, reputation or goodwill;
- issues caused by third-party platforms, venues or payment providers;
- events outside our reasonable control.
Our services are provided for personal, marriage-focused use and not for business, commercial, resale or data-gathering purposes.
29. Your responsibility to us
You are responsible for losses, costs, claims or expenses caused by your breach of these Terms, misuse of Nawa Match, unlawful conduct, false information, confidentiality breaches, misuse of personal data, or inappropriate behaviour.
This does not remove any legal rights you have as a consumer.

We will aim to respond within a reasonable time.
31. Force majeure
We are not responsible for delay or failure to provide services where this is caused by events outside our reasonable control.
This may include:
- venue cancellation;
- illness;
- transport disruption;
- severe weather;
- public health issues;
- power or internet failure;
- third-party platform failure;
- security issues;
- legal or regulatory restrictions;
- emergency circumstances;
- acts or events beyond our reasonable control.
Where possible, we will try to provide a reasonable alternative, reschedule, transfer or handle the matter under our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
32. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
The latest version will be available on our website.
If we make significant changes, we may take reasonable steps to notify users, especially where the changes affect active bookings, paid services or profile matching.
By continuing to use Nawa Match after changes take effect, you agree to the updated Terms.
33. If part of these Terms is invalid
If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, the rest of the Terms will continue to apply.
34. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer rights that may apply depending on where you live.
